The Institute publishes the NPD Group sales figures for consoles and video games for the month of September in the United States. This is a company that conducts studies on several markets, including video game. NDP observes the behavior of consumers and publishes sales figures and analysis of different industries. The group operates in Europe, Asia and North America, but now the U.S. company that delivers information on the video game market.

The output of the new model of PS3, with a lower price for the former model has really given a boost for the console by doubling its sales figures compared to last month. A good performance for small (large) last "SONY", especially as it stands at the head of home consoles sold the most.
The Xbox360 has also enjoyed a small fee associated with the lower prices, lower prices put in place to keep competing for the PS3. The Wii also has seen its net sales increase.
But it's no surprise that we discover that the top ranking is kept warm by the Nintendo DS Lite and DSi with their combined sales. The PSP is far below the rank just above the PS2, the portable Sony will not have the small advantage over the PSP Go which was released on 1 October.

As for games, the Top10 is dominated by the market for home consoles, led by the famous FPS Halo 3: ODST, followed by Wii Sports Resort Motion Plus. Also commend the performance of "Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story" on DS, which has managed to infiltrate the top. As far as PSP games, they are completely absent from the top 10 most purchased games in the United States in September ...

For several months that the video game industry was declining in the United States, and it finally emerges from its crisis. The predictions of analysts were betting on an increase in turnover generated by the video game, but it is ultimately rather stagnant. Indeed, compared to last year, the income of the video game market amounted to 1.28 billion dollars against 1.27 billion last year, an increase of 1%. However, it is good news because this small increase is better than the decline that occurred over several months.
