Go PSP (PSP-N1000) will happen at the end of the year in the spokes and therefore sony finally formalized its release yesterday at the conference at E3 2009.
A little history:
In recent weeks rumors were more pressing and more accurate on a new PSP model coming. We also contributed to this rumor by providing all the features of the new PSP before the time and apart from the name of which we had no idea, our source was a reliability.
But all this was just rumor, until the line three days ago, a video "hacker" showing a presentation of the new console from Sony's video magazine Qore, which probably seemed a little too early (PSP go disclosed, images and video).
Despite the obvious truth of this video, there was still doubt among some and the announcement last night has put an end to all speculation: the PSP is and go there along with the PSP-3000 in November 2009.
A little expensive for a clock, right?

At what price will it be sold?
The PSP is announced go to the price of 249 euros (249 dollars or 249 pounds) which places the beast at the price of the PSP-1000 in 2005. This may seem expensive, but from reading its price, we seem more than justified. Moreover, as Sony lets the market PSP-3000, much less expensive, it allows everyone to choose according to their desires and especially of its budget.
And what should we think of all this?
It must be admitted that Sony was not at the end of the expectations of players and this new PSP does not have all the new hopefuls far away. Thus, no second joystick or touch screen to bring something new in the gameplay. You also noted that all the new screen is smaller than the PSP-3000 and its previous sisters. Strange choice.
The position of the analog joystick puzzled about its use and design of the console would have agreed to see a second in place of buttons and, who would have found a place on the front of the console. So why not have added a extra pad? Another choice that leaves doubts.
The disappearance of the UMD drive is a logical evolution to get at what is happening with Apple and the success of its Store. So where is the GPRS? Too bad that this console can accommodate a SIM card to directly access the Internet, but Bluetooth is no doubt there to remedy this lack.
However, Sony is moving forward with tweezers and does not take the risk to impose on all consumer digital all absolute "keeping two consoles on the market (as with the Nintendo DS and DSI). Thus the PSP Go touch the geek (and richer view of its price), while the PSP-3000 will fulfill all the others. This seems to suggest that games on a UMD is still some time left to live. Be aware though that Sony has announced that all the PSP titles will be available soon on the paystation Store.
The conclusion of editors:
The PSP is a go relooking extreme console with an orientation towards "all digital. This new version does nothing in terms of gameplay or technical innovation that can be called" new console. "Furthermore, the characteristics of the PSP are beginning to feel a little moisi the face of competition from the ISD or the iPod touch. If we all agree here to suggest that these consoles are not comparable in terms of power, it should be noted that the ISD Popos standard camera with two objectives, a touchscreen and a microphone where the PSP offers "a simple microphone that does not always fun speaking. Similarly iPod later, needless to say that the quality of games available on the store, the accelerometer and the multitouch screen carnage later are "casual gamers." These two manufacturers have managed to choose a way that appeals to the general puublic while Sony continues its momentum without really address the expectations of players. Dommage.
Nevertheless, geeky geek we are and we remain, we expect the PSP Go with genuine impatience. If a certain disappointment at the dig, it is the cruel absence of some points that seemed important that we are at the origin, not the console itself because we can not judge it once passed between our hands. We are normally able to offer a test in the next month if all goes well.
